Halls Winter Rally 2015

After incredible rally season in 2014, when EAMV team became the fastest team in Estonian rally championship which is the strongest in Baltic states with Alexey Lukyanuk and Alexey Arnautov, we started prepare for 2015 racing season. We have concluded a contract with one of the fastest rally driver in Lithuania – Deividas Jocius, and he joined the team for 2015 rally season. Also Vaidotas Žala changed the car from Subaru Impreza to Mitsubishi EVO, and this all promised an exciting rally season for our team in 2015.

First round of Lithuanian rally championship 2015, “Halls Winter Rally”, was held on January 30-31st. At start line stood 52 competitors crews who competed for the title of absolute winner in first season rally. EAMV Motorsport team also been here and serviced two competitor crews – Vaidotas Žala with Žygimantas Žala, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO car and Deividas Jocius with Donatas Zvicevičius also with Mitsubishi.

Both crews on first stages had bad luck and hit the same stone which was on the driving line and broken suspension, Deividas and Vaidotas lost a lot of time but they managed to reach the service area where mechanics put everything into places and prepared cars for the second day.

Second day results had shown that the drivers are one of the fastest in stages and if you watch only the second day results – Deividas Jocius were the second fastest and Vaidotas Žala was the third in overall.

After two days and eleven rally stages Vaidotas Žala took the 7 place overall and Deividas Jocius were 21st. After first promising rally event this season team and drivers will start to get ready for first gravel event in this season “Rally Talsi” which will be held in Latvia.
